Mintzu Chen presents their debut photographic collection TETHER. "Over the course of my life, it’s become familiar to be foreign and foreign to be familiar. As an immigrant and transplant, there’s a delicate toggle between belonging and alienation when I’m either of these places I call home. In TETHER (2026), I hope to unravel parallels between Taipei and Brooklyn, two seemingly distinct places on opposite ends of the Earth, mutually exotic, tethered to each other by my life."
